Hi, and thanks for entering "Artistic Renderings from Judy"!
Yes, it's me in here---come on in and stay a while! As you can see, this area of my website is like a personal little chat room--well, I get to chat anyway, and if you want to talk back, you can click on the e-mail link that "PurpleCrayon" has created for us on the Contact page of my website.
Today marks the beginning of these opportunities to communicate here with you, and I would be remiss if I didn't begin this way:
I am very grateful to Bill, Calvin, and Beth at PurpleCrayon for coloring my world the most beautiful shade of Happy by creating this wonderful website for me! As an artist, it is a real thrill when, after working hard hanging a show or exhibition, you take a step back and view your art as a body of work. As I walk through the gallery here, I realize this particular body of work has not been shown together anywhere else, as I have selected pieces that were created over the last two years. An added bonus for me is that this web page gives me a clear picture of where I have been and where I am going artisticly. It represents the "whole picture"-something we lose track of in the day to day details of it all!....So, Bill, Calvin, Beth, thank you for doing such a beautifully professional job!...
...the check's in the mail....and you more than earned it!
Just a little catch up since January 1, I've been working hard in the studio playing catch-up. The month of December is down time for me as far as a show schedule goes, so I work in the studio painting, matting and framing, trying to get ahead on some new pieces. I had my first show of the year on January 17 and 18- the Bonita Springs 5th National Art Festival in Florida. It is a newer show, but already has a reputation for being a high-quality one. It is sponsored by the Art League of Bonita Springs, and run very efficiently by Festival Director, Barry Witt and a group of hard working volunteers. There were 200 artists in attendance from all over the country, and I was lucky enough to be one of the 15 award winners this year. That was a really nice surprise---awards are few and far between!. Now, I am working towards the next show in Naples, Florida in February.
Thanks for listening! I hope that things are going well for you in your corner of the world!
Signing off for now, judy.
